West Virginia Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability Law

I’m going to start writing a blog. Well that’s what all the internet and website folks call them. I’m not really sure what a blog is supposed to be. However, I do know what I want to write. I want to write some straight forward articles that will help people better understand the legal process and how to successfully maneuver through it.

I’m a lawyer in West Virginia.

I represent folks in Social Security Disability claims, Veterans Service Connected Disability claims and personal injury claims. I talk to who knows how many different people every day. I see a couple of common themes over and over that I think need addressed. In other words, it’s time to set the record straight.

  1. First, there are a lot of misconceptions out there about the law. I have seen folks get themselves in some terrible messes simply because they followed advice from the guy down the street (who was completely wrong, by the way). I’ve also talked with potential clients who were about to make life changing decisions based on a total misunderstanding of the process they were about to begin.
  2. Second, there are a lot of representatives, organizations and even lawyers out there telling folks they know what they are doing when they don’t. At worst, many of these people have no idea what they are doing and are not being forthright with the public. At best, the representatives are just dabbling in new areas of law.

So when you are looking for a lawyer in West Virginia, how do you tell if the person you’re talking to can really help? That’s where this blog comes in.

Travis Miller Attorney at Law

Here’s the deal. I’m going to write blog articles to help with these questions. I’m a straight shooter in everything I do whether it’s my personal life or work life. My hope is to write informative articles that provide you with the knowledge you need to help you better protect your interests whether you hire a lawyer or go it alone. If you do hire a lawyer, I want you to have the knowledge you need to make sure you choose the best possible lawyer for your situation.

These articles are going to talk about reality. Sometimes there is a big difference between what the law says and how things work in the real world. I plan to talk about the law, but I also plan to talk straight about how things really work. I’ll probably have some of my lawyer colleagues yelling at me, but that’s okay. These articles aren’t meant for lawyers.

I hope you’ll enjoy these articles about my experience as a West Virginia Social Security disability lawyer and Veterans disability lawyer. I would love feedback. Tell me what you think. I’m a big boy. I can take it – good or bad.

My Facebook page would be a perfect place to comment or let me know about a topic you would like for me to address. www.facebook.com/TravisMillerAttorneyatLawPLLC

So stay tuned. I hope to write one article every week.

Thanks for reading,
Travis Miller
